Whether you have an hour, a day, a week, or more to serve we have the volunteer opportunity for you!

Volunteers are one of our communities most valuable resources. Whether it is a one-time service project or an ongoing volunteer activity, we have a variety of ways that you can volunteer with us and support Iowa’s youth.

Because the Partnership works in so many ways with youth, our opportunities vary widely from time to time. Some ideas include:

Being a mentor to youth
Working with community leaders to implement one or many of our programs
Working with educators and school systems to utilize our resources
Organizing a “Town Hall” or something similar for one of our speakers to come engage with your community
Educating legislators and political leaders on issues of importance to Iowa families and the well-being of young Iowans
Researching topics currently affecting today’s youth and the people who interact with them
Nearly anything you can think of that the Partnership should be doing to help youth in Iowa!

Peter [Komendowski] uses his personal life experiences along with his research and wealth of knowledge to engage students and staff in a presentation that leaves them empowered to think differently about how to make healthy choices without being tricked by big marketing companies who target youth. The facts about health concerns were shocking.

Compass Pointe Behavioral Health Services designed and hosted the Substance Use, Addiction and Recovery Seminar on Northwestern College Campus on September 18th. [The Partnership] played an integral part of the success of this event. Peter Komendowski provided the integral information, data and trends that provided the need for addressing drug and alcohol issues in our community. The Partnership’s “humane approach” can help us end the stigma of addiction and recovery. We look forward to continuing working with [The Partnership]. Their expertise in addressing these issues impacted our communities in ways we could not do alone.
