Members and Friends of the Partnership Board,

Please send a note to our Governor’s Chief of Staff, Sara Craig (email) in support of our meeting May 21st. We asked for a veto of HF732.

A contingent including Al Jennings, Jim Erickson, Ted Stephens, Steve Lukan, Dale Woolery, Kim Wadding, George Belitsos, Jon Borg, Lynda O’Hara, Jane Larkin, Scott Walter and myself met with Sara Craig yesterday. We felt it was a good meeting, but it was clear that a decision was still in the making. That said it was a fortuitous meeting, but our work is not done.

IT WOULD HELP IF EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU SENT SARA A NOTE IN SUPPORT OF OUR MEETING.

The following are two excerpts from emails of our supporters to Sara & Governor Reynolds.

Thank You.

Peter

Hi Ms. Craig,

I am emailing my support for the meeting that the Governor had yesterday with Peter Komendowski and the Partnership for a Healthy Iowa. I am the Prevention Director at Heartland Family Service. I have grave concerns about HF732 the Medical CBD Bill and strongly urge the Governor to veto this bill. I have also registered my concerns on the bill with her office previously, but wanted to echo that we stand behind and with Mr. Komendowski and the Partnership on this issue.

Thank you,

Lorelle Mueting
Prevention Program Director – Heartland Family Service
Director – PMP – Prevention Means Progress

Dear Ms. Craig,

They echo the concerns we have for the health, safety, and welfare of Iowa’s youth.
